Getting Started

What is Playoff Rally?

Playoff Rally is a free NFL playoff fantasy football game. You pick 9 players from the 14 teams alive in the NFL playoffs and compete against friends in a private league. As teams get eliminated, their players stop scoring — but the longer your players survive, the bigger your multiplier gets. The player with the most multiplied fantasy points at the end of the Super Bowl wins.

Is it free to play?

Yes — Playoff Rally is completely free. Create a league, invite friends, and play through the Super Bowl at no cost.

How do I get started?

Sign in with Google, then either create a new league or join an existing one using an invite link. Once you're in a league, set your 9-player lineup before Wild Card weekend and you're ready to go.

How many people can be in a league?

As many as you want — Playoff Rally works great with anywhere from 4 to 20+ people. Bigger leagues just mean more competition.

Picking Players

When can I make my picks?

Picks open at the start of each round. You can set or change your lineup anytime before a player's game kicks off. Each slot locks independently — once that specific player's team is on the field, that slot is frozen for the round.

Can I change my picks after they lock?

No — once a player's game has started, that slot is locked for the rest of the round. Other slots that haven't kicked off yet remain open. Plan ahead if you have games on different days.

What happens to my picks between rounds?

Your lineup carries over automatically each round. You only need to make changes if a player's team was eliminated — swap them out before the next round's games begin.

What is the FLEX slot?

FLEX is a bonus slot that accepts any running back, wide receiver, or tight end. It gives you an extra offensive weapon and more lineup flexibility each week.

Can I use the same player in two slots?

No — each player can only appear once in your lineup at a time.

Can I pick players from bye-week teams?

Yes. Top-seeded teams skip Wild Card week. If you pick a player from a bye team in Week 1, their multiplier clock still starts at Week 1 — so by Divisional round they're already at 2×. This rewards committing to top seeds early.

Scoring & Multipliers

How does scoring work?

Playoff Rally uses full PPR (1 point per reception) scoring by default. Passing: 1 pt per 25 yards, 6 pts per TD, −1 per interception. Rushing & Receiving: 1 pt per 10 yards, 6 pts per TD, 1 pt per reception. Kickers: 3/4/5 pts for field goals under 40/40–49/50+ yards, 1 pt per extra point. Defense: points for sacks, turnovers, TDs, and points allowed. League commissioners can customize all scoring values before the season starts.

What are multipliers and how do they work?

Your multiplier is based on how long you've held a player — not just which round you're in. Wild Card = 1×, Divisional = 2×, Conference = 3×, Super Bowl = 4×. If you picked someone in Wild Card and kept them all the way to the Super Bowl, they score 4× their Super Bowl stats. A player first added in the Conference round only earns 2× in the Super Bowl. Loyalty is rewarded.

What happens when a team is eliminated?

Players on eliminated teams stop scoring from that point forward. Their past points are locked in — you just don't earn new points from them. You'll need to swap them out before the next round locks.

What if I drop and re-add the same player?

If you drop a player and re-add them to the same slot in the same round, your original multiplier is fully preserved — no reset. If you wait until a later round to re-add them, they restart at 1× as a fresh pick.

Leagues & Commish Tools

How do I invite friends to my league?

Go to Commish Tools → Invite tab. Share your invite link or QR code. Anyone who clicks the link and signs in with Google joins your league automatically — no manual approval needed.

Can the commish customize scoring?

Yes — the league commissioner can adjust all scoring values (passing yards per point, TD values, PPR rate, kicker field goal brackets, DST scoring tiers, etc.) before Week 1 begins. Settings lock once the season starts to keep things fair.

Can the commish customize lineup slots?

Yes — commishes can configure how many QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, FLEX spots, kickers, and defenses each team carries. Defaults are 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 K, 1 DST (9 slots). These settings also lock once Week 1 begins.

Can I be in multiple leagues?

Yes — you can create or join as many leagues as you want. Switch between them using the My Leagues menu in the top right.
